Cold & Flu
While it certainly won’t cure your flu, drinking green tea acts as a backup to your immune system and gives it the extra jolt of minerals and antioxidants it needs to help you recover faster.
Adding ginger, lemon and honey will also help to soothe a sore throat.
Stress & Anxiety
Amino-acids found in green tea, particularly L-theanine, have been known to assist in decreasing a person’s level of stress hormones.
Having a cup of green tea after meals helps those with troublesome digestion. The tea helps calm digestive nerves and provides some relief if you feel discomfort – infuse with peppermint or ginger for upset tummies.
Whether after a long day or a night out, a cup of green tea is a great way to relax and also give your eyes a little spa treatment at the same time. Cool down your green tea bags and lightly squeeze out any excess water – place them over your eyes for 20 minutes and any puffiness will be greatly reduced.
