SLTB-TPU in Beijing- China participated at the Beijing Tea Expo 2024 trade exhibition that was held from 19th to 22nd April 2024 at the Beijing Agricultural Exhibition Center, centrally located in Beijing, China. The event primarily functions as a business-to-consumer (B2C) platform, facilitating Ceylon Tea agents based in Beijing to directly showcase and promote their brands to the Chinese consumers.
The Sri Lanka Tea Board – Tea Promotion Unit (SLTB-TPU) in Beijing, China, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Embassy in Beijing, has facilitated the participation of tea importing agents from China at the event. This initiative falls under the SLTB’s 50% Trade Fair Subsidy Scheme, aimed at supporting and promoting tea trade activities.
The event features the collective promotion of the Ceylon Tea brand, showcasing offerings from various Sri Lankan tea exporting companies such as Lions Tea, Ceyleaf (Lions Management Pvt. Ltd.), Ceylon Tips (Ceylon Tips Branding Pvt. Ltd.), Battler (Maltras International Pvt. Ltd.), Basilur Tea (Basilur Tea Exports Pvt. Ltd), and Clare Valley (Merctee International Pvt. Ltd). These esteemed brands are being actively promoted to the Chinese consumer base.
