The Tea Promotion Unit of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Beijing (TPU-SLEMB) represented Sri Lanka at the 2025 International Consumption Conference held on 11 September 2025 in Beijing, parallel to CIFTIS. The forum, which gathered international and Chinese business communities, provided an excellent platform to showcase the strengths of Ceylon Tea, gain valuable insights into global and Chinese consumption trends, and strengthen trade visibility in one of the world’s fastest-growing consumer markets. Sri Lanka’s participation not only reinforced the premium positioning of Ceylon Tea but also generated significant mileage for the industry by creating new opportunities for partnerships, enhancing national image, and paving the way for greater market penetration in China.
